The trio of Indian nationalists was Lal, Bal and Pal. In about 1905 they became active in the Swadeshi Movement appealing the public to denounce British goods. Lal was the name of Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal was Balgangadhar Tilak and Pal was Bipin Chandra Pal.
